Primitive Pottery Workshops with Sonia Adams and Carol Mowl

Take a look at the success we had with the pots. Some made it and some didn't. It is difficult to control the temperature around the pots and the heat just got too intense, too soon. Animal manure cushioned the heat well and the pinch pots worked the best as they are more robust.

We plan to do another firing on Saturday 11th July 10-2pm, £32, if you are interested in joining us let me know.

Felt making

Photos and feedback from the April Felt Making workshop

"Thanks for the great workshop today; I'm really looking forward to the spinning one." Nina

"I just wanted to say thank you for the workshop on Sunday. I had a great time and I'm really pleased with my first piece of felt. I'm itching to have another go and I'm hoping I'll get an opportunity at the weekend as I've got lots of ideas buzzing around my head. I'll definitely be back on another workshop later in the summer. Thanks again for a great session." Lorraine

Nina Bradshaw and Lorraine Fitches who were at the April Felting workshop showed us their crochet and knitting talents. Take a look at free flowing crochet by Nina Bradshaw and the beautiful knitted shawl by Lorraine Fitches.

WeavingWeaving Workshops with Carol Mowl

This week we have been weaving in and out of the studio making the most of the sunshine. We are weaving every Wednesday 10-12pm and 7-9pm. Weaving Workshops

The May Chorlton Arts Festival 'Weaving Taster Afternoon' was a great success with all ages enjoying having a go on the various looms.

There is a new Backstrap Weaving workshop for Saturday 5th September. A video link of me backstrap weaving in my parents garden in Devon, can you hear the pheasants? I saw two adolescent female pheasants strutting about.
